About

Danté M. Selman-Carrington entered private practice on September 1, 2018 and formally joined Caribbean Commercial Law Chambers on that date. Prior to entering private practice, he was a State Prosecutor in Trinidad and Tobago from 2010- 2014, a Tax and Commercial consultant at a major accounting firm from 2015 – 2017 and a Legal Compliance consultant at a large conglomerate from 2017 – 2018.

Danté read for the bachelor of Laws Degree at the University of the West Indies and graduated with Honours in 2008.  In July 2010, he graduated from the Sir Hugh Wooding Law School with the Principal’s award for Advocacy.

Danté obtained an Organisation of American States scholarship to pursue an International Master’s Degree in Business Administration at ESAN Graduate Business School and the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business graduating with a concentration in global leadership.

Danté’s has also lectured and tutored in the University of London’s distance LLB programme, Port-of-Spain from 2013 to the present in the areas of the Law of Evidence and Criminal Law.

Danté’s main areas of interest are Civil & Criminal Litigation, Taxation, Dispute Resolution, Corporate Law, Employment Law as well as non-contentious matters including Probate and Conveyancing (Real Property).
